Competitive Swim Squads

Competitive Swim Squads

Under the guidance of our Head Coach Garry Mitchell, our Swim England qualified coaches provide training for all our squads aiming to bring out the best in each swimmer so they can progress through our club’s competitive pathway.

Development Squad

Training is focused on perfecting basic skills, stroke technique and race techniques. Swimmers should be looking to compete in Ribbon Galas, Mini League and Club Champs.

Junior Squad

Training is focused on race technique, speed & endurance. Swimmers work to compete at County Level, attend open meets and represent the club in team galas.

Senior and Competition Squad

Training is focused on speed and speed endurance. Swimmers work to compete at county, region & national level, regularly attend open meets and represent the club in team galas

Attendance

Regular attendance has a significant impact on skill progression and in building a complete understanding of the sport. We expect swimmers who are in any of the above squads to make every effort to attend their weekly sessions. We have a waiting list and swimmers who do not regularly attend may be asked to give up their space for someone else who can (even if they are up to date on payments).

Late arrival, without good reason or if habitual, may result in exclusion from the swimming session.

Competitions

NASWPC is a competitive swimming and water polo club. It is assumed that all members have a desire to compete and expected that all members will compete if asked to do so. Please take a look at our club calendar and find out what competitions are coming up. Members will be emailed and asked to register for any events that they are eligible for. More information about the types of competitions and the rules of swim racing can be downloaded by clicking the buttons below.
