Our brilliant U15 waterpolo team headed to Manchester a few weekends ago for the Nation Age Group Championships. The boys played amazingly together as a team, winning 3 of their 5 matches. They lost to Watford (the eventually silver medalists) and to Caledonia. Which, in the boys words, was basically the whole of Scotland
.
As well as playing and supporting each other, they cheered on their Exeter friends for every match, drowning out most of the competitors supporters! They really were a credit to the club and to themselves. The boys who played for the Exeter team, you were amazing and made us all proud. Well done on your well deserved bronze medal
.
Special mention has to go to our Captain, Henry Baggot, for the most goals scored in the tournament! Testament to his general attitude, his response was he wouldn’t have been able to achieve it without the rest of the team.
Claire and Tom worked like a well-oiled machine, supporting, instructing and boosting the confidence of each and every player. The younger ones cant wait to go back next year! And Ally organised the social side of the whole trip, helped with pre departure admin, massively helped with logistics at the venue and chauffeured the TM there who took 1 look at the rain and tried to quit! So thank you all.
